Tamiflu Offered Without Prescription By Online Pharmacy
Influenza flu fighter Tamiflu is being offered without a prescription by a Canadian online pharmacy. The website in question is www.drugdelivery.ca. When a person visits this website a banner on the home page tells him that the stocks for Tamiflu are running out and also that it is recommended that the drug should be sued for the prevention of Avian flu in people.The charge for 10 capsules is $199 US. When the same pills are purchased from a Canadian pharmacy with a prescription the cost is $55 Cdn. The company is being investigated by health Canada and they refuse to give any more specific information about what they intend to do about Canada Drug Delivery. In December health Canada had issued a warning advising consumers to be cautious while buying Tamiflu online. According to recent reports from the United Kingdom, several websites including two Canadian sites have been selling Tamiflu to British customers illegally. According to another report more than 50 shipments of counterfeit Tamiflu was intercepted at the American border by the U.S. Customs.
These reports are now being looked into by Health Canada and the RCMP.
